Whirlybird over Bigelow
In early August, the CVSD Snowfluent field was used to help facilitate repairs to privies located on the Bigelow section of the Appalachian Trail. Several volunteers from the Maine ATC helped stage and load materials to and from their peers located at the Horns Pond, Avery Col and Safford Brook campsites. The weather matched the scenery in beauty and the mission was a success. Impressive heights to go to for comfort and a healthy Bigelow Range. If you find yourself enjoying the newly constructed dunny, give a shout out to the MATC, and give us a wave to the south on your way by….maybe after finishing the privy business.
